Akira Nakahara is the CEO of Imperative 21, a global network building collective narrative power for an inclusive economy. He has spent the past 20+ years working in narrative change with some of the most impactful organizations that have shaped our beliefs and actions around equity, housing, immigration, inclusive economies and democracy. Akira is a co-founder of A-B Partners, a creative agency redesigning how power works, and who has it, through research, strategy, creative and campaigns. He is a Senior Advisor for Impact Frontiers, a learning and market-building collaboration for investors seeking to incorporate impact into investment decision-making. A Spanish-Japanese immigrant, Akira is based in New York City.
